HC Deb 18 February 1976 vol 905 cc751-2W
Mr. Geraint Howells

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when she last met representatives of the pensioners' organisations in Wales; and if she will make a statement.

Mr. O'Malley

My right hon. Friend has not met an organisation representing Welsh pensioners alone, but on 28th October 1975 she received a deputation from the National Federation of Old Age Pensions Associations, which has branches in Wales. Among matters raised by the Federation were the rates of retirement pension, the frequency of upratings, and the provision of social services for the elderly.
