§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Energy what research and development he is sponsoring currently on solar energy; if he will list projects that are receiving financial assistance from his Department; and what is the total budget for such programmes projected over each of the next five years.
§ Mr. BennMy Department is spending about £35,000 in the year 1975–76 on work by the Department's Energy Technology Support Unit in making a study of solar energy possibilities. The level of future budgets for such programmes is to be considered in the light of this study.
