§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in view of the recent cuts in the price of petrol, he will seek similar reductions from the oil companies on the price of light fuel oils used in the heating of glasshouses.
§ Mr. John SmithI have been asked to reply.
Oil companies and retailers, so long as they comply with the Price Code, are free to determine selling prices of oil products—except paraffin which is controlled—according to their commercial judgment and competition in the market.
