Mr. Rost

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what will be the reduction in capital expenditure by the Atomic Energy Authority; and how it will be distributed over projected programmes which will result from the economic package to reduce the public sector borrowing requirement.

My right hon. Friend is pursuing with the Atomic Energy Authority the question of possible adjustments to its programmes.
