HC Deb 09 December 1976 vol 922 c342W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many health boards in England and Wales have cut back on food for patients as part of the Government's economy measures.

Mr. Moyle

I have no evidence that any health authority is cutting back on food at the expense of patients' welfare. The Department has not asked health authorities to seek such economies as part of the Government's economic policy.
