§ Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson
asked the Lord President of the Council if he will move to amend the order of reference of the Select Committee on Nationalised Industries to make it possible for the Committee to scrutinise the affairs of the Government-owned companies of Harland and Wolff and Short Brothers and Harland.

§ Mr. Foot
The Expenditure Committee and the Public Accounts Committee are already able to consider the affairs of these companies. The Government have no immediate intention to propose a change in the present arrangements.
