Mr. Scott-Hopkins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the draft Declaration of the Council of Ministers, referred to by the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on 21st July in his parliamentary answer,Official Report, column 1793, relating to the extension of Community fishing limits to 200 miles, applies only to fisheries or both to fisheries and the mineral wealth on and beneath the seabed.

As the replies which my right hon. Friend gave on 21st July and on 29th July make clear, the declaration by the Council of Ministers relates to the extension of the limits of fisheries jurisdiction only.
