HC Deb 06 August 1976 vol 916 cc1082-3W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Attorney-General whether he will give the costs to the Government of the two legal cases effecting Tameside and the Laker Aircraft appeal; and what action he has taken or intends taking to control such costs.

The Attorney-General

The House of Lords has not finally determined the costs in the Tameside appeal. No appeal has been heard in respect of Laker Aircraft. The Treasury Solicitor ensures that no unnecessary costs are incurred in litigation undertaken by the Crown.
