HC Deb 06 August 1976 vol 916 cc1114-5W
Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for Industry in view of the fact that the evidence of his Minister of State to the Washington Concorde hearings was incorrect in asserting that the ICAO noise rules applicable to Concorde were less onerous than was actually the case; and what action he is taking to acknowledge the error.

Mr. Kaufman

My hon. Friend the Minister of State was expressing the way in which the Concorde manufacturers had interpreted the 1962 ICAO Resolution. The evidence was not incorrect and there was no error.
