§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether the loan of £5 million granted to Lonrho Ltd. to assist in the acquisition of Brentford Nylons is intended to include the retail operation of Brentford Nylons.
Mr. Alan WilliamsThe loan of £4.9 million was made to Lonrho Limited to enable it to take over the three Brentford Nylons factories at Cramlington, Felling and Greenock and those of the retail shops it considered it needed in order to sell the majority of the production of these three factories.
