§ Mr. Churchillasked the Secretary of State for Employment if, in the light of the findings of the industrial tribunal of 17th May 1976, he has made a determination whether or not the 25 dismissed strikers picketing Electro-Automat of Swinton for the past six months are involved in a trade dispute, for the purpose of assessing the eligibility of any one of them for unemployment or social security benefit; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. GoldingThe independent adjudicating authorities, who decide all claims to benefit, have decided that the test claimant representing those people picketing Electro-Automat of Swinton is not disqualified from receipt of unemployment benefit on account of the trade dispute disqualification in Section 19(1) of the Social Security Act 1975.
