asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he is satisfied with the representations of the United Kingdom at international meetings of the International Telegraph and Telecommunications Consultative Committee; and what part he plays in advising such delegations.

Yes. These meetings deal with technical, operational and tariff questions, which are predominantly the responsibility of the Post Office. My Department is also represented when necessary. Others interested are consulted as appropriate.
