HC Deb 14 April 1976 vol 909 c526W
Mr. Blaker

asked the Lord President of the Council what visits have recently been paid, or what plans exist for future visits, by members of the Government Committee of Inquiry into the House of Commons Refreshment Department to Bonn, Paris or other capitals; for what purpose; by whom they were or will be accompanied; and what is the anticipated cost to public funds.

Mr. Foot

Visits have been paid to governmental catering facilities at Paris, The Hague and Bonn by members of the House of Commons Refreshment Department Committee of Inquiry. No further visits will take place.

The purpose of the visits was to study and compare the catering facilities in the Parliaments of these capitals with those in the House of Commons. The visits were made by the Chairman and a member of the Committee accompanied by a member of the Secretariat. The anticipated cost to public funds is £950.
