§ Sir GeorgeYoung asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will issue regulations requiring motor cyclists' crash helmets to carry reflective and fluorescent material in order to make them more conspicuous.
§ Dr. GilbertResearch is in progress into ways of making motor cyclists more conspicuous, including possible modifications to crash helmets. I intend to await the results of this work before considering new regulations.
