24. Mr. Patrick Jenkin

asked the Secretary of State for Energy when he hopes to announce the members of the organising committee for the British National Oil Corporation.

Mr. Benn

I announced on 29th July the appointment of Lord Kearton as Chairman of the Organising Committee. I shall be announcing other Organising Committee appointments in due course.

Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Energy when the BNOC expects to be fully operational in Glasgow.

Mr. Benn

Planning for the establishment and build up of BNOC in its Glasgow headquarters is a matter for the corporation and the BNOC Organising Committee.
