§ Mr. John FraserThe following table shows final mid-year estimates from June 1970 to June 1973 and provisional monthly estimates thereafter. The midyear figures are from a new series of statistics prepared on a continuous basis so that past estimates are consistent with those for the latest date. The estimates for each month from July 1973 have been made by applying a ratio of change, as shown by a sample survey, to the latest mid-year figures which are for June 1973. The monthly estimates are subject to revision when the results of the June 1974 annual census of employment become available.
