§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that on 27th March 1975 there were 24,476 suitable applicants awaiting allocation under the Training Opportunities Scheme: 12,908 were awaiting allocation to skill centres; 9,395 to colleges of further education; 1,962 to employers' establishments and 211 to residential training colleges for the disabled. It is not possible to identify the numbers of women on the waiting lists, but waiting lists are common for men and women as courses are equally available to both sexes. It is not possible without disproportionate cost to identify applicants who have been waiting allocation for under six months and between six to 12 months.
