§ 20. Mr. Fairgrieveasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if the United Kingdom withdraws from the EEC, whether there is an obligation to pay back the various grants, loans, &c., received to date from the various EEC funds.
§ Mr. Dell:The position would no doubt be different for different grants and loans. But given the Government's recommendation to the British people it would not be appropriate to raise this as a general question with the Community at the present time.
