HC Deb 24 March 1975 vol 889 cc60-1W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimate he has made of the likely intervention purchasing of cereals in the United Kingdom during the next 12 months in the light of the latest available world evidence of output, demand and prices.

Mr. Bishop:

Any attempt at predicting developments in the market situation, and the reactions to them of many individual owners of grain, would be so hazardous as to be meaningless.
