asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how costs in criminal legal aid cases in Northern Ireland compare with cases in England; and if he will make a statement.

The maximum fees payable to solicitors and counsel on legal aid in criminal proceedings in Northern Ireland compared with England and Wales are as follows:

in the Official Report the boards, committees and organisations to which he has the power to appoint in the North West Region of England.

Industrial training boards, industrial tribunals—in consultation with the Lord Chancellor—local employment committees and disablement advisory committees.
