§ Mr. ConcannonThe latest figures available are for 1973. The average rent, exclusive of rates, paid by tenants of private landlords for unfurnished accommodation in Northern Ireland was about 90p per week. The comparable figure for Great Britain was £2.36 per week. I am looking at this in the light of the report of the Porter Committee on the operation of the Rent Restriction Acts in Northern Ireland.
