asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will make a statement on the personnel and work of the Ulster Office.

The Ulster Office, under the direction of Sir Harry Jones, CBE, is served by two administrative officers, 1 information officer, 5 executive officers and 15 clerical, typing and other ancillary staff.

The principal work of the Office is to promote in London and throughout Great Britain a constructive interest in Northern Ireland, particularly in the industrial and commercial fields. In fulfilling this task, the Office organises exhibitions, seminars and other functions in order to enlist the interests of particular organisations and groups as well as the public at large.

The costs of the Ulster Office are borne on the Vote of the Northern Ireland Department of Finance.
