§ Mr. Gowasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many regional 432W health authorities, when seeking tenders for hospital construction work, follow the recommendations for price adjustment formulae for building contracts as set out in "A Guide to the Practical Application of the Formulae" published by the National Economic Development Office on behalf of the EDC for Building in 1974.
§ Dr. OwenI have not yet advised health authorities to adopt the price adjustment formulae as I await publication by the Joint Contracts Tribunal of the necessary contracts clause for use with the Standard Form of Building Contract Paragraph 1.03 of the guide recognises that this must precede adoption of the NEDO formulae method.
