§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps designed to ensure that rate reductions granted as a result of the Government's extra aid to local authorities in 1974 have been passed on to the tenant ratepayers of private landlords, when the landlord is responsible for the collection of rates.
§ Mr. OakesI have no reason to believe that private landlords have not passed on the rate relief that my hon. Friend mentions, but if he has a particular case in mind perhaps he will write to me and I will see what can be done.
