asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is satisfied with the production of components for the building industry, in view of his intention to speed up and increase the housing programme.

Mr. Freeson

The supply of building materials and components should not present any general problems as regards the house-building programme in the short term. I am keeping a close watch on the position as regards the longer term.
