§ Mr. Mike Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will now take steps to establish an energy commission to co-ordinate the production, sale and use of energy in the United Kingdom and, in particular, to help avoid competition between energy industries aimed at increasing level of energy usage.
§ Mr. VarleyI am not convinced that an energy commission of this kind is needed. I shall be ready, however, to strengthen the resources available for advising me on energy matters if that becomes necessary.
