§ Mr. MeacherFollowing his statement on 9th December my right hon. Friend explained to the hon. Member in some detail the considerations which were taken into account in reaching our decision. The situation has not changed.
§ Mr. Tebbitasked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the total amount of public expenditure to date on the HS146 project; at what level expenditure is currently running; and if he expects any major changes in that level of expenditure.
§ Mr. MeacherUp to June last year Hawker Siddeley Aviation Limited had received £3.8 million from the Government in connection with the HS146 project. There have been no payments since then. I expect that there will be some further expenditure, as suggested in my right hon. Friend's statement on 9th December, but I cannot give any indication of the size of the Government's contribution at this stage.
§ Mr. Tebbitasked the Secretary of State for Industry how many tripartite meetings of management, employees and staff of his Department have been held to discuss the HS146 project since 13th November 1974; and if he will give the dates of the meetings and the conclusions reached.
§ Mr. MeacherI would refer the hon. member to the answer I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Hemel Hempstead (Mr. Corbett) on 30th January.—[Vol. 885, c.312.]
