HC Deb 15 December 1975 vol 902 c488W
28. Mr. Gwilym Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what are the latest figures available for trade between Great Britain and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and other Eastern European countries; what additional steps he is taking to stimulate this trade; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Shore

In the first 10 months of this year our exports to the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe were £481 million, an increase of 35 per cent. compared to the same period of 1974. We are actively promoting further expansion in our trade with these countries.
