§ Mr. Edward ShortOn the basis of the £22 million per annum quoted in the White Paper, the additional weekly cost per head of United Kingdom population will be 0.76 pence. The White Paper makes clear that the cost figures it contains must be provisional at this stage.
§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Lord President of the Council whether the annual running costs of the Welsh and Scottish National Assemblies, detailed in Command Paper No. 6348, include the salaries and expenses of Assembly members: and, if so, what assumptions were made relative to these items.
