HC Deb 04 December 1975 vol 901 c682W
28. Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he will implement the main recommendations of the Porter Report on Housing in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Concannon

As I explained in my reply of 23rd October to a Question by the hon. Member for Belfast, North (Mr. Carson), some of the recommendations in the report are already being implemented. Only last week I announced details of a new grant to encourage owners to carry out urgent repairs. The content and timing of legislation on the other recommendations in the report is being considered by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State in the light of the views expressed by interested parties.—[Vol. 898, c.701–2.]
