HC Deb 07 August 1975 vol 897 cc485-6W
Mr. Hayhoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether the Health and Safety Commission has any plans for looking at the aircraft noise problem at airports as it affects those who work and live close by.

Mr. Harold Walker

The Health and Safety Commission informs me that officials of the Health and Safety Executive are in consultation with all Government Departments concerned with environmental noise but the Commission is itself concentrating on steps needed to protect workers against occupational noise levels likely to damage their hearing.
