Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) where, and on what date, the attempt on his life took place; which organisation was responsible; how many people were involved; whether the assassination squad consisted of both men and women; and in what circumstances the squad operated;
(2) what type of gun was used in the attempt on his life; how many shots were fired; and whether any spent bullets or cases were recovered;
(3) whether the loyalist detained in connection with the attempt on his life knew the charges which led to his detention; whether he appeared before the Commissioners; and with what result.
