§ Mr. BishopThe latest return for England and Wales shows that 3,960 producers have taken advantage of the Dairy Herd Conversion Scheme in respect of 136,764 dairy cows. It is not possible to estimate precisely the effect of the scheme on the national dairy herd as many of the better milk animals are now to be found in other herds.
