§ 1. Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the average level of council house rent rises proposed by local authorities for 1975–76; and if he will name the authorities which have proposed increases in excess of £1.50 per week.
§ Mr. KaufmanThere is no statutory requirement for local authorities to inform me of their proposals for rents. I am not aware of any authorities which propose an average increase in excess of £1.50 a week.
