§ 2. Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the housing shortage, he will seek powers to dispense with planning restrictions on individual houses which have the effect of keeping them empty.
§ Mr. KaufmanI am not sure what planning restrictions the hon. Member has in mind. But, in general, owners of houses subject to such restrictions already are able to apply to the local planning authority to have them lifted; and, in the event of a refusal, to appeal to the Secretary of State.
