HC Deb 20 November 1974 vol 881 c419W
35. Mr. Rose

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he is taking towards the implementation of United Nation Security Council Resolution 360 (1974) adopted on 16th August in relation to Cyprus.

Mr. Hattersley

Her Majesty's Government are continuing to make every effort to encourage the parties to work for a lasting settlement in Cyprus, in support of Security Council Resolution 360 and other UN resolutions. We welcome and support the talks between Mr. Clerides and Mr. Denktash, with both of whom we are in close touch. We are also in regular touch with the Greek and Turkish Governments. We have made clear to all concerned that we stand ready to assist in any way possible.
