HC Deb 20 November 1974 vol 881 c419W
36. Mr. Stoddart

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek an undertaking from the Greek Government that in future Mr. Christopher Westen and any other British nationals held in Greek gaols are treated in accordance with the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

Mr. Hattersley

The Consul-General will continue to try to ensure that British prisoners are treated in conformity with generally accepted standards. If any prisoner asks for a complaint of ill-treatment to be taken up with the Greek authorities that will be done.
