HC Deb 19 November 1974 vol 881 c383W
Mr. Luard

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the United Kingdom's present annual contribution to the regular United Nations budget, the regular budget of the United Nations specialised agencies, and to the voluntary programmes of the United Nations at the agencies; and what proportion the total at present represents of the United Kingdom's national income.

Mr. Ennals

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Sheffield, Heeley (Mr. Hooley) on 12th November—[Vol. 881, c.105.]—in which the United Kingdom's present annual contributions to the various activities of the United Nations are detailed. It is estimated that the total amount of £62,628,433 represents approximately 0.11 per cent. of the United Kingdom's national income.
