§ 22. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether she will give the latest available figures for the approval of projects for the building of health centres; and how these compare with the numbers approved a year ago.
§ Dr. OwenI have authorised development work on 144 health centres to proceed in 1974–75. Building starts have been approved on 23 schemes and health authorities are inviting tenders for a further 75 on which a start will be made this year where an acceptable tender is received in time. Building work started on 89 schemes in 1973–74.
