§ 25. Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for Industry what cost control data have been required by Her Majesty's Government to protect the taxpayers' investment in the HS146 project and if he will make a statement on his policy towards the future financing of the project.
§ Mr. BennUnder the contract HSA has to provide the Government with regular financial and technical information on the progress of the project. I am still considering the future of the project.
§ 29. Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the future of the HS146 plane, and if he will have tripartite discussions with management and trade unions at the earliest possible date regarding this matter.
§ Mr. BennThe Government are still considering the future of this project. I have already met the management and the unions separately but, like the unions, I am anxious to set up a tripartite meeting which would cover all the areas of mutual interest.
