asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the omission from the draft Budget for 1975 of the EEC, of the Regional Fund.

Mr. Hattersley

As the Council has not yet taken decisions on the proposals for a regional development fund it concluded that no specific sum should be entered in the 1975 draft budget. There is, however, a token entry; and the Council has undertaken to establish a draft supplementary budget as soon as regional policy decisions are taken.
