asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will seek to ensure that instruction staff at occupational centres for the mentally handicaped in Scotland are awarded equal pay with their counterparts in England.

Proposals by the National Joint Councils for Local Authorities' Services (Scottish Councils) are at present under consideration in relation to statutory incomes policy.
