§ Mr. MaclennanThe recommended retail prices of the principal branded dried milks for babies have risen from 36p to 40p and 41p per 16-oz. pack since October 1973, following notifications to the Price Commission. Under the welfare food scheme national dried milk, which is fortified with vitamins C and D and iron, is available from child health clinics free of charge to expectant mothers and children under school age in low income or large young families. My right hon. Friend is considering what items might be subsidised in addition to those already announced.
