§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to encourage the building of community facilities to provide an alternative to hospital care for the mentally handicapped.
§ Mr. William RossLocal authorities have been advised on the number of places required in homes for the mentally handicapped, and they have so far put forward proposals for the provision of over 50 homes by 1978. Within the resources available I shall give a high priority to these projects.
