HC Deb 01 May 1974 vol 872 cc467-8W
38. Miss Harvie Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has had in regard to qualifications for technical education teachers.

Mr. William Ross

I received representations against the arrangements that had been proposed to enable certain teachers of technical subjects to qualify for the new Diploma in Technical Education. I considered these very carefully but decided that the proposed arrangements were appropriate and should be allowed to stand. My decision has been communicated to those hon. Members who forwarded representations and to the teacher's associations concerned.
