HC Deb 27 June 1974 vol 875 c531W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will visit the Christchurch and Lymington parliamentary constituency, before he completes his consideration of the report of the Bray Committee, to discuss with the local authorities and local amenity societies the need for improvements in planning procedures.

Mr. Oakes

I have just completed, in company with Mr. George Dobry, QC, a programme of visits to a number of local authorities, including Hampshire, to discuss with members and officers a wide range of planning issues. I regret that I have no immediate plans for any further visits, but Mr. Dobry is still receiving evidence prior to the preparation of his final report and would be glad to take into consideration any representations which the hon. Member may wish to submit from his constituency.
