HC Deb 26 June 1974 vol 875 cc451-2W
40. Sir. D. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress has been made in making trade agreements between the EEC and Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on the model of that made with India.

Mr. Hattersley

Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have expressed interest in concluding trade agreements of some kind with the Community. The EEC Commission is in touch with these countries about the type of arrangement that would be most appropriate.
