§ Mr. Hugh JenkinsThe Government's policy for the arts is, despite prevailing economic circumstances, to continue to give additional financial support, in real terms, to the Arts Council, the national396W museums and galleries and other agencies for the encouragement of the arts. I am frequently encouraged by a variety of interests to increase the budgeted support even further. I take careful note of these representations for the future.
