HC Deb 14 June 1974 vol 874 c668W
Mr. McGuire

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the present patient-doctor ratio in the Ince constituency; and how this compares with the average in the Manchester Regional Health Authority, the Northwest, and nationally.

Dr. Owen

The latest available ratio of patients to general medical practitioners—unrestricted principals—in the three medical practice areas lying wholly or partly in the Ince parliamentary constituency is 2,782. Comparative ratios are: for the North Western Regional Health Authority's region 2,500; for Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire 2,483; for England 2,398.
