HC Deb 31 July 1974 vol 878 cc291-2W
Mr. Bulmer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will take into account the most recent population statistics, the current outlook for the motor industry and other significant changes that have occurred since the public inquiry into the Worcestershire structure plan before he confirms a strategy for population growth in Wyre Forest that is believed by many residents to be harmful to the ordered growth of their community.

Mr. Oakes

My right hon. Friend will take all relevant considerations into account before reaching his decision on the policies and general proposals in the Worcestershire structure plan.

Mr. Bulmer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how soon he expects to announce his decision on the Worcestershire structure plan.

Mr. Oakes

My right hon. Friend hopes to be able to send his proposed modification and reservations with a request that they should be published to the County Councils of Hereford and Worcester and of the West Midlands by the late summer.
